Cooking up brain food

Describing scientific papers:

  • I think this one is going to be like a seventies kitchen.  Seems like a good idea at the time, but it’s only fashionable for about ten minutes and then it’s just something to shake your head about in wonderment at your susceptibility to fads.  But by then, your stuck with it for years!
  • This paper is like museli.  You know it’s good for you, but boy is it hard work to get through.  You must chew 50 times before you can swallow a sentence, and then it takes all morning to digest!
